Record rental income
Record rent received, deposits retained, insurance payments, service charges and any income received by an agent on your behalf.
Property expenses
Review repairs, insurance, professional fees, utilities and other costs against the rules for the property and the period. Capital improvements are not the same as repairs.
Tax records
Keep tenancy agreements, invoices, mortgage statements, agent statements and evidence for periods when the property was empty or privately used.
